Pick-up fees and mileage charges apply for each transport. Capital accepts major credit cards and cash. Only clients with an approved Capital Agreement will receive invoices for transportation services.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- At least 27 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Possess a valid Texas driver’s license with no traffic violations including suspensions, DUI, and DWI.
- Must be able to pass drug/alcohol screening.
- Current CPR / AED certification (Provided in the house), and Defense driving Certificate.
- Drivers must not have a felony or misdemeanor conviction within seven years prior to the initial hire date.
- Able to pick up and push at least 50 lbs. Able to push up to 300 lbs. in a wheelchair.
FAQs
1. What if I have a cancellation or change?
We understand that plans can change and strive to accommodate. Advanced notice is encouraged. For changes or cancellations made 24 hours or more in advance, there is no charge. A fee of $20 applies for cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice. For cancellations with less than 2 hours' notice or if a vehicle is dispatched and no one is present (no-show), a no-show fee will be charged at half the trip cost for round trips and the full cost for one-way trips.
2. How far in advance should I schedule my transportation?
Customers can book trips online up to 24 hours in advance. For trips that require scheduling within 24 hours, customers should call to discuss available options. We aim to accommodate trips that are at least 3 hours away. It is important to note that same-day transport services are primarily available for customers with flexible schedules. For specific travel times, advance reservations are highly recommended, as our fleet is frequently booked several days in advance.
3. When are patient transportation services available?
Patient transportation services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our drivers can take you anywhere within Bexar County and beyond. Please note that additional fees will apply for after-hour services.
4. Can I travel in my own wheelchair?
Yes, you can. We encourage you to remain in your manual or electric wheelchair during transport for your comfort.
5. Do you accept insurance, such as private, Medicaid, or Medicare?
A pre-authorization letter from your insurer is necessary for private insurance, national insurance, and workers’ compensation insurance prior to using our transportation service.
